I rated many of these songs a little higher but decreased them after reading the lyrics. Unfortunately, many of the songs are full of your typical cringy boyband lines. Those cringy lyrics do stick with the "Beautiful" theme they were going for, but "5:14 (Last Page)" is proof that they are capable of higher quality songs. I only disliked one of the ten songs ("Calm Down") and songs like "Ready or Not" and "I'll Be There" will probably grow on me in time. My favorites from this LP are currently "Beautiful" and "Miss You", regardless of the cringy lyric problem. Musically, I do believe that Monsta X is close to finding their "trademark sound". Now they just need to mature and perfect it.
With each new release, Monsta X seems to be growing and getting better at merging the two sides they are becoming known for. I find "The CLAN Pt. 2.5" to be their best release thus far.

This album could easily be the soundtrack of a revolution. Powerful lyrics pointing out flaws in society and an urgency for change are found throughout the songs. Depeche Mode's trademark sound is in full effect, especially on "You Move". Something about "Cover Me" sounded like Depeche Mode and Pink Floyd had a love child and I love it. The LP starts out great, but from "Eternal" to "Poorman" hits a bit of a slump. I found these songs to be good, but not the kind of songs I would intentionally listen to on a regular basis (what I call background songs). Overall, though, it is a great album; both lyrically and musically.

"Former circus performer and aerial gymnast, Tara knows it’s time to move on. Tired of the constant abuse and the emotional rollercoaster ride at home, she takes to the road to perform on stage with her boyfriend and his band, Paradox 21.
Drunken excursions and late-night after-parties lead to an unfathomable betrayal by her boyfriend, Keel. Tara never imagined her summer tour would come to an abrupt end that lands her jobless, homeless, and broke in a city far from home." (Goodreads)
I received a digital copy of this book from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
I have conflicted feelings about this book. From page one I was instantly sucked in and to me, it felt like there was this feeling like something absolutely horrendous was going to happen. Granted, bad things do indeed happen, but not of the sort it feels like the story is directing things toward. It goes back and forth between being very slow and spending way too much time on things that I found to be boring and moving almost too fast, not allowing for the bigger events and the consequences of them to fully develop. The way the lead character reacts to these events and the people she meets feels a bit unrealistic. Several tropes that have become common in YA find themselves at home in this New Adult story. However, I did find myself enjoying this book. When I picked it up, I did not want to put it back down. When I did put it down, though, I did not find myself missing it.
